The school reopened as usual today, with staff and parent volunteers helping to get everything ready for tomorrow’s Christmas Fair. The picture below will give you a little insight into how much work everyone has put into making the hall look so great and we’re all really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Doors open at 10:00.
The Colinton Choir has also been busy recording our entry for the Garrison FM Xmas Factor competition. You can hear our entry by using the media player below.
Last year our choir won the competition and we would like to do our very best to retain our title. You can vote for our entry by clicking here. All voters will be entered into a special prize draw with the opportunity to win £50 worth of Morrison’s vouchers.
Before the school was closed at lunchtime yesterday the pupils had a week full of great activities. The hall has been decorated with Christmas stars made by each class, Mrs Imrie was delighted to host another tea party for those pupils who have earned 50 house vouchers for their good behaviour and hard work, and the Zebras and Giraffes have been busy singing carols at the AWS.
Looking ahead, the lions will be swimming for the last time before Christmas on Friday next week, after school clubs for athletics, netball and football will have their final session of the term, the Colinton nativity will be performed on Wednesday morning and the nursery and P1 pupils will have a magician visit on Friday.
We hope you enjoy your weekend and look forward to seeing those of you who can make it at the Christmas Fair tomorrow.
