Friday 28 October

We hope all of you enjoyed your half-term break.  The school has been a very busy place these past few days.

On Wednesday The Wildcats led the school in our Harvest Assembly.  All of the class contributed to the assembly where they shared information about making bread, art made from autumn leaves, picking apples and a selection of ideas of what to make with them.  We also saw the full collection of our tinned foods we collected for CHAI.  We all contributed 103 tins, cans and packets of food that will be put to good use for families on need of help across the city.  Thank you to everyone who contributed, your donations will make a difference.

Last night the school’s entrance and hall was transformed, with ghouls, ghosts and vampires enjoying the party fun organised by the Parent Council and Unit Welfare Offices. We don’t yet have a final total for the money raised but needless to say, everyone who was there had a great time dressing up and enjoyed the party.  Our thanks go to everyone who helped out on the day with setting up and clearing up.

Today the Wildcats and the Lions enjoyed trips to the Odeon and the Filmhouse for National Cinema week where they saw Winnie The Pooh and Arrietty. The adults on the trip have spoken of how enthusiastic the children were about their visit and how much they enjoyed the films.  The Otters and the Giraffes get their opportunity to go to the cinema next week.

We have updated the gallery pages for the Wildcats and hope to get the Lions gallery updated early next week.

Finally, our P7 pupils will be at Dalguise for school camp next week.  We hope they have a great time.  Details of their adventures will be posted every day on the website next week.
