Tuesday 7 June

We have had another busy start to the week.  Yesterday the P6 and P7 pupils were at Meadowbank competing in the Interscholastics, an athletics event for Edinburgh’s Primary schools.  Although we had no medallists we did have Connie in P7 finish fourth in the 80m final, the girls’ team made it into the final of the relay race, while Caitlin and Fraser (both P7) managed to qualify for the 600m final.  Well done to everyone who took part.  We would also like to say well done to all the pupils who were spectating and gave the team their full support, and even managed to cheer on some of their friends from other schools.

This afternoon we have continued with our programme of events for the Family Room by welcoming Mrs Sarah Brown, Headteacher at Firrhill High School, for an informal session with the parents of P6 and P7 pupils.  The parents who attended found this an excellent opportunity to ask Mrs Brown about a range of issues that included homework, school uniform and lunch-time arrangements. Please have a look at the post for Wednesday 4 May for further details of upcoming events in the Family Room and come along to any of the sessions you see fit.

Finally, we have updated the P6 gallery of work to show you their amazing display of their printing work.  Enjoy.
