The school is once again a hive of activity. So far this term we have welcomed Mrs Hill back to the school, while our classes have been involved in a whole host of activities. P2 and P4 are getting additional PE lessons on Wednesday afternoons, P5 are getting additional swimming lessons on Thursdays and the whole school is getting additional PE input from our two PE students throughout the week. We also have student teachers working in the Nursery and in P7. We have also been preparing activities for Health Week. Pupils can look forward to a variety of activities from Monday 30 May-Friday 3 June that will include Tae-Kwon-Do, Handball, Cycling, Rugby, Fruit Tasting, and a Whole-School Run. The week will also finish off with our annual Sports Day event. You can watch this space for more details.
Tonight was also the Colinton Bingo night. We had a lot of fun this evening and over 60 parents and guests enjoyed the game. Several people went away as prize winners, but the biggest prize of the evening was won by Katie Tait from P7. Congratulations to her. We’d also like to thank everyone who came along to make the evening such a success and remind you that all the money raised this evening will be reinvested in the school to make a direct difference to the what we can do with and for your children.
