P7 paid a visit to King’s Buildings at Edinburgh University on Wednesday to get a flavour of what life is like as a student and to see how they learn. The pupils who went agreed that it was a very worthwhile visit and they enjoyed the opportunity to see what was on offer at University.
We also had two P7 pupils, Heather Briton and Aimee Morgan, attend an awards ceremony on Wednesday that celebrated their work on Fairtrade. Heather and Aimee were presented with a certificate marking their Fairtrade T-Shirt design and we feel this is a fair reflection of the hard work they, and the rest of the class, have put in to this topic. Well done to both girls.
Today was the day we had originally scheduled to celebrate the opening of our new cycle shelter. Unfortunately this has been postposed due to the damage inflicted upon it by the high winds on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. We are currently investigating ways in which the shelter can be replaced and will update you all as soon as possible. The good news is that the “Love Your Bike” day poster competition will go ahead as planned and winners will be announced just as soon as the bike crew have made their decision.
