It has been a busy day today. P4 had a visit to the Botanics to learn some more about their Rainforest topic. In the hothouse (which is very hot indeed) we learned some more about the layers of the rainforest and looked at some of the plant life you could find there. We learned about some of the products, including different fruits and cocoa (the stuff we make chocolate with) that come from there, and how local people live. It was a fantastic trip and all the class really enjoyed themselves.
P7 spent some time at Firrhill High School at the “Think Ahead To Work” morning. Pupils visited workshops covering a range of careers that included the Police, Education (Sea Bird Centre), Finance, Law and Construction. The visit was well-received by our P7s and has given them some things to think about for their future.
